How to use it

For bread, preheat it empty with the dome on while the oven heats up. The dough then goes onto cast iron that is already hot.

Turn the dough straight onto the base with a little semolina, or onto baking paper if you prefer. Put the dome on and into the oven: it holds in the steam the dough gives off.

Without the dome, the base is an oven dish for focaccia, pan pizza, roast chicken or vegetables; use a little oil for roasting. Works on gas, electric, ceramic and induction hobs and in the oven up to 260 °C. It holds a lot of heat: always use oven gloves. Not for the microwave, barbecue or open fire.

Care

Let it cool before washing. By hand, in warm water with mild washing-up liquid; use wooden or silicone utensils.

Dry the rim where the dome and base meet straight away and rub on a few drops of oil. On ceramic or induction hobs, lift it rather than slide it.

Why this bread oven

What makes it different

The dough sits, it doesn't drop
1 / 5

The dough sits, it doesn't drop

Turn the dough from the banneton straight onto the hot base, with a little semolina. The base is flat and just 4.5 cm deep: no reaching into a deep pot.

The dome holds in the steam
2 / 5

The dome holds in the steam

It closes over the base and holds in the steam the dough gives off. That steam lets the loaf rise well in the first minutes and gives you a crisp crust.

The base alone is an oven dish
3 / 5

The base alone is an oven dish

Lift off the dome and you have a cast iron dish for focaccia, pan pizza or vegetables. Cast iron holds a lot of heat, so it bakes at a steady temperature.

Works on your hob, no seasoning

Works on your hob, no seasoning

Gas, electric, ceramic, induction and the oven up to 260 °C. The enamel needs no seasoning: take it out of the box and start cooking.

Oven to table

Oven to table

Two handles take the base straight from the oven to the middle of the table. Cast iron holds the heat, so the food stays warm while you eat.

Frequently asked questions

Does it need seasoning?

No. It is enamelled cast iron: take it out of the box and start cooking.

Can I preheat it empty?

Yes, for bread that is the right way: put it in empty with the dome on while the oven heats up. The dough then goes onto hot cast iron. It takes up to 260 °C.

How big a loaf does it make?

The base is Ø 24 cm and the dome 11.1 cm tall: made for round loaves at home. It is not a big stew pot.

Will the bread stick?

Scatter a little semolina on the base before you turn out the dough, or use baking paper if you prefer. For roasting, a little oil.

Does it work on induction?

Yes, and on gas, electric and ceramic hobs, and in the oven up to 260 °C. What it can't take is the microwave, a barbecue or an open fire.

When will it arrive?

Order before 1 pm and it leaves our Tarragona warehouse the same day. Delivery takes 48-72 hours to mainland Spain and Portugal, 3 to 6 working days to Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and Luxembourg, and 4 to 6 working days to Poland, Sweden and Ireland. Shipping to these 12 countries is free, with no minimum order.

How does the 60-day return work?

You have 60 days to return it for any reason, on top of the 14 required by law, and it is free: you write to us and we send you the label. It has to come back new, unused and in its packaging.

Who helps me if I have a problem?
