How it works
Step on the pedal and the lid opens on its own; let go and it lowers slowly and silently thanks to the soft-close. You never have to touch the lid with your hands.
Inside there's a removable plastic bucket with a metal handle: you lift that out, empty it and put it back. The bag stays inside and isn't visible from outside.
Care
A damp cloth with mild soap and a dry one afterwards. The fingerprint-resistant coating does almost all the work: it doesn't get marked every time you touch it.
No scourers and no abrasive products on the steel. The plastic bucket inside can be washed thoroughly with hot water.
