How to use it
It clips onto the soleplate while the iron is cold and holds itself in place. Then you switch on and iron as usual.
Steam generators too. It works the same, with one caveat: when you finish you have to take the shoe off so you can rest the iron on its base and put the unit away. It's a two-second job, but worth knowing beforehand.
Always remove it cold, once the iron has cooled down completely.
Will it fit my iron?
It's made to fit the vast majority of domestic irons and steam generators on the market. Even so, there are unusual models with an oversized plate, so it's worth checking.
The inside of the shoe is 25 × 14 cm. Turn your iron soleplate up and measure the plate from tip to heel and side to side: if it fits within those figures, it fits. Ten seconds and the doubt is gone.
Care
A damp cloth with the shoe cold and that's it. No scourers and no abrasive products on the non-stick coating: that's exactly what makes it glide.
Store it separately, not inside the iron, so it doesn't get scratched against the plate.
