Care

Wash it by hand with warm water and mild soap, and dry it standing on its edge. Don't put it in the dishwasher and don't leave it soaking.

Every two or three months, a thin coat of food-grade mineral oil. Being thin, it dries out sooner than a thick board, so this step matters more here.

Why this board

What makes it different

Light, the everyday one
1 / 5

Light, the everyday one

It's thin and you pick it up with one hand. The thick end grain board is for the serious chopping session; this is the one you end up pulling out for the breakfast bread and the evening tomato.

Reversible: chop on one face, serve on the other

Reversible: chop on one face, serve on the other

Flip it over and the clean face goes straight to the table. One board, two moments, and one less thing to wash up.

Teak stands up to water
3 / 5

Teak stands up to water

It carries natural oils in the fibre itself: it's the wood boat decks are made from. In a kitchen that means it swells and cracks far less than a softwood.

Plantation teak, not felled forest
4 / 5

Plantation teak, not felled forest

It comes from FSC-certified Brazilian plantations: every tree cut is replanted. And it's been tested by SGS for food contact.

Essendo grande e pesante serve spazio adeguato in cucina.

Frequently asked questions

Is it dishwasher safe?

No. Solid wood swells and cracks with heat and pressurised water. Wash it by hand with warm water and mild soap, and dry it standing on its edge.

Which one do I pick: this or an end grain board?

This one is thin, light and reversible: the everyday board and the one you carry to the table. The end grain board is a thick block, kinder to your knife edge and built for daily chopping, but it is heavy and takes up room. If you cook a lot, you end up with both.

How often should I oil it?

Every two or three months, and it matters more here than on a thick board: being thin, it dries out sooner. Food-grade mineral oil, a thin coat, let it sit a few hours and wipe off the excess.

How much is shipping?

Nothing. Shipping is free to 12 European countries and there is no minimum order.

What if I don't like it?

You have 60 days to send it back, free and without explaining yourself. Message us on WhatsApp from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and we handle it ourselves.
